Cha-cha-changesssss!
Lots of changes going on with my life... It's fun :) I registered for school last week, so I will be starting the end of August. I'm going to a bachelors to BSN program to get my nursing license! I'm nervous/excited/can't believe I actually pulled the trigger!
In other, minor, news, I'm getting my hair done tonight - going as dark as possible and getting some layers put in. Love it. And tomorrow after work, I'm treating myself to a pedi and a nail fill. I need some relaxing "me" time.
I also joined Weight Watchers today. I've done it before, and it worked great. I lost around 20-25lbs the last time I was on it (and I've maintained it pretty much), but I'm looking to drop another 10-15lbs and REALLY knock my husband's socks off! He loves me the way I am, of course, but I always want to look hotter for myself and for him. I'm only 29 - I'm going to dress in tight pencil skirts and figure flattering tops (and feel confident doing it)!
So wish me luck! I'm ready! My weigh in days are Thursdays (since I started today), which is good. It's not weighing myself right after the weekends, etc. I hope I see results by next week - I'm very impatient! The last time I was on WW, I dropped 6lbs my first week. Granted, I had more to lose then, but I'm still hoping to see the scale go down a bit and get some energy back!
So that's that! I'm declaring this "The Year of Kristin" and fuck people who get in my way!! Classy :)
By my 30th birthday next July 4th, I will be a sexy vixen who is almost done with her nursing degree. Mark my words, people!!!
Side note - I got my period today. Cramp city. Sucks.

This is gonna be a quick one.
So lately, I feel like karma hasn't been doing it's fucking job. I bend over backwards for people (mostly because I LOVE seeing people happy - not because I want anything out of it), and what do I get? SHIT ON. That's what. I got $120 speeding ticket on Sunday (plus I have to pay another $40 to take the fucking driving class to get the effin ticket off my record). Ugh.
So, I'm going to start to be selfish. I registered for the first of many nursing classes to get my BSN (already have my bachelors, so it won't take too long to become an RN) because I've been putting it off for way too long. It's time to focus on what Kristin wants.
Also, I'm feeling out of control fat. I am on a mission to lose 10lbs starting tomorrow (it's already 7:20pm and I'm done eating for today).
Goals:
Become a nurse.
Get extra hot.
Make more money & enjoy my job.

Fox Valley Mall. BORING.
So, sitting back and looking at my current situation, I have to laugh. I have a bachelor's degree in Bio-Chemistry, and right now, I'm sitting in Fox Valley Mall at my work's store front. Every summer, the college I now work for (to remain nameless), sets up a store in the mall to apparently gain more traffic. Let me tell you something - it's a waste of money. I'd rather be at the office trying to salvage any student I can than here watching pre-teens shop for slut clothes.
Screaming kids are everywhere, and I have not gotten in touch with ONE PERSON who is interested in sitting down with me to go over their educational future. People are here to shop and spend money on fun things...
WHEW. Ok, now that that's out of my system, let's talk about something fun. Tomorrow is Friday!!! I'm going to Party City on my lunch break to get the last bit of decorations for the baby shower I'm throwing on Saturday. I love throwing parties, and if I could get paid to do it, I would switch careers in a heartbeat.
It should be a good time, as the mom-to-be is kick ass. We are all wearing sweatpants and t-shirts and stuffing our faces while opening gifts. Pictures will be sure to follow.
Sunday is my nephew's actual 4th birthday, so I'm going to try to pop over to my brother's house to see him and spend some much needed auntie/neph time together :)
And there's another weekend come and gone... This whole "working 40+ hours a week" is for the birds...

Monday but Thursday:)
So, it's Monday, but technically, I'm only working today and tomorrow, so it's like Thursday already! I like weeks like this.
The weekend was BEYOND chaotic, but it was very fun, and now my friend is married :) It was pretty much tornado weather all day Friday, so that sucked for the bride. But when it cleared up, we got our asses outside for TONS of pictures. The humidity made for a stellar hair day for all of us, and the groomsmen were all set with wearing three layers of clothes. But like I said, it was a great time. The bride looked gorgeous, and the party bus was amazeballs. It was complete with karaoke, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't sing Lionel Richie. Boom.

Saturday, I had to work in the morning (again, DUMB move on my part to volunteer for that...), and then I drove out to see my friend Bradalis and her new bundle of joy, Montgomery (Monty) James Sunich. ADORABLE. I still don't want one of my own, but he was so squishy :)
Finally, I capped off the weekend by celebrating my upcoming birthday with my family. My dad had us all out at his place for swimming/BBQ and ice cream cake from DQ. YUM. I can't believe I'm going to be 29 in a few days... The cake made it all worth it, though.
That's all I've got. We're heading to Kentucky tomorrow after I get home from work, so that will be fun. I get to be a hillbilly for 5 days :)
